Quick Start: How to Feed (Meal • Topper • Treat)

  • Complete and balanced meal:

Check the feeding guide on your bag for your dog’s weight to get the daily food and water amounts. Crumble the measured food into a bowl, then add warm (not hot). Stir, wait 5 minutes, stir again, and serve. Divide the daily total by the number of meals you feed.

  • Premium Topper:

Sprinkle dry or rehydrated on kibble, raw, canned, air dried, freeze dried, dehydrated, or home-prepared food. Keep toppers to about ten percent of daily calories, or reduce the base food by the same calories.

  • High Value Treat/Training:

Feed dry. Break the medallions into smaller pieces if needed. Keep treats to about ten percent of daily calories, or subtract those calories from the day’s meals on training days.

Transitioning to Gently Dried Raw

Most dogs can start eating Everyday Raw Anywhere right away, but to keep tummies happy we suggest a slow switch over 5 to 7 days, especially if your dog is sensitive to diet changes.

Simple Transition schedule

  1. Days 1–2: 25% Everyday Raw Anywhere + 75% current food

  2. Days 3–4: 50% Everyday Raw Anywhere + 50% current food

  3. Days 5–6: 75% Everyday Raw Anywhere + 25% current food

  4. Day 7+: 100% Everyday Raw Anywhere

Transition slower if needed

Extend to 7 to 10 days (or longer) if your dog has a sensitive stomach, a history of GI issues like vomiting, soft stool, or poor appetite, or if they have been on highly processed food for a long time.

Health note: If you have any concerns or your dog has medical conditions, check in with your vet before changing foods.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What exactly is Everyday Raw Anywhere?

Everyday Raw Anywhere is a gently dried, shelf stable raw dog food you can feed anywhere as a complete meal, a topper, or a treat. Made in Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada, with human grade ingredients that are mostly sourced locally, it follows the same recipes as our Everyday Raw line, simply transformed for convenience.

Watch as Dr. Jules Mantler, RDBK’s Veterinary Nutrition Advisor, and Founder Inna Shekhtman share expert feeding tips for Everyday Raw Anywhere.

2. Is the formulation the same as your Everyday Raw frozen meals?

Yes. The formulation, ingredients, and nutritional analysis are the same as our frozen raw line, Everyday Raw. We simply use GentleDryâ„¢ technology to create a portable, shelf stable format.

3. What is GentleDryâ„¢ Technology?

Everyday Raw Anywhere uses GentleDryâ„¢ to deliver a shelf stable raw option that protects vitamins, flavour, colour, and aroma, and it rehydrates more easily than many other raw alternatives, including freeze dried, air dried, and dehydrated foods.

GentleDry™ technology is a low temperature drying method developed in British Columbia and adapted for our raw pet food. In a typical 90 minute cycle at about 40°C, microwave and infrared energy work within a controlled vacuum to draw out moisture quickly and evenly, so the food spends less time under heat.

Based on internal testing, this process preserves up to 95 percent of nutrients, uses 75 percent less energy compared with freeze dried methods, and allows the food to rehydrate to a raw like look and texture.

4. How much should I feed?

Check the feeding guide on your Everyday Raw Anywhere bag. Find your dog’s weight and note the total daily feeding amount in grams or medallions. Split that total across the number of meals you serve. Prefer digital? Use our online daily meal calculator.

For the water amount, check the feeding guidelines on the bag. Or use this rule: add warm (not hot) water equal to one and a half times the food amount. Example: 1 cup of food with 1½ cups of water.

5. What is the best way to prepare and rehydrate it for a complete meal?

How to Prepare Shelf Stable Raw Dog Food

  1. Crumble the medallions into small pieces.

  2. Add warm (not hot) water at one and a half times the amount of food, or use the water amount shown on your bag.

  3. Stir to mix.

  4. Wait at least 5 minutes so it fully rehydrates.

  5. Stir again and serve.

Tip: Cold water works if needed. Give it a little more time and extra stirring. For a nutrition and flavour boost, use warm bone broth.

6. Is Everyday Raw Anywhere suitable for cats?

It is not formulated as a raw meal for cats, but many cats enjoy it as a topper or a treat. Start with a small amount to see how your cat does. You can serve it dry or rehydrated. If you use it as treats, keep them under about ten percent of daily calories. For a full and balanced cat diet, choose a cat specific raw food such as Foundations Raw for Cats or Basic Instinct Raw for Cats.

7. Is it suitable for all life stages?

  • Adults: Great as a complete and balanced meal when you follow the feeding guide on the packaging.

  • Puppies: You can feed it as part of a rotation of at least three Everyday Raw Anywhere recipes. For growing pups, we prefer fresh frozen raw because of the extra moisture. If your alternative is a highly processed diet, Everyday Raw Anywhere is the better choice. Always rehydrate puppy meals.

  • Cats: Not formulated as a raw diet for cats, but many cats enjoy it as a topper or a treat. Start small and see how they do. Keep treats to about ten percent of daily calories.

8. Is Everyday Raw Anywhere made in Canada?

Yes. It is made in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, with most ingredients sourced locally from Canadian farmers and fisheries. A trusted Canadian dog food choice.

9. Can I mix it with other types of dog food?

Absolutely. Use it as a topper on kibble, raw, canned, air dried, freeze dried, dehydrated, or home prepared diets. You can serve it dry or rehydrated. Keep an eye on total calories to avoid overfeeding. For most dogs, keep toppers under about ten percent of the meal, or reduce the base food by the same calories. Introduce new toppers over three to five days.

10. Can I feed gently dried raw without adding water?

Yes. You can serve it dry, but we recommend rehydrating for better hydration and digestion. If you serve it dry, make sure fresh water is always available.

Note: For puppies, rehydrate every meal.

11. Can I rehydrate with something other than water?

Yes. You can rehydrate with bone broth, goat milk, coconut water, or kefir for an extra boost. If you use cow milk, make sure your dog tolerates dairy. Remember to factor in the added calories.

12. How long does rehydrated food keep?

For safety and freshness, refrigerate right away and use within 24 hours

13. Do I need to refrigerate the dry food bag?

No. The dry food is shelf stable at room temperature. After each use, press out the air and reseal the bag. Store it in a cool, dry place.

14. What’s the dry shelf life after opening?

If you reseal and store it properly, follow the best before date on the bag (up to 18 months). Humidity and air can shorten shelf life. If you notice an off smell, discoloration, a sticky feel, or any mold, discard it.

15. Can I gently cook it after rehydrating?

No need, and we do not recommend it. The food is already gently dried, and cooking it again can reduce nutrients. If you want a lightly cooked option, see our list of frozen raw recipes that work for gentle sous vide cooking here.
