Rabbit for Cats – Discontinued (effective immediately)
Challenges In Consistent Supply
We previously discontinued our rabbit meals in 2016 because the family-run B.C farm that we were working with was unable to continue due to the challenging nature of raising rabbits. A couple of years later we were fortunate enough to find another local farmer committed to take on the task of raising rabbits naturally and ethically. Unfortunately, as we are unable to receive this supply on a consistent basis we are once again making the difficult decision to discontinue our rabbit meals.
Why Is It Discontinued?
Rabbit is a particularly challenging meat to source as there are currently no regulations in Canada for how to raise rabbits. They are a challenge to farm because they are such a sensitive animal which makes it difficult to raise them in a way that is natural, while keeping them safe at the same time.
In The Meantime...
We are committed to offering rabbit meals again soon and will continue to search for an alternative supplier whose values align with ours as we are dedicated to promoting and supporting naturally grown and sustainable foods.
