10 Easy and Healthy Frozen Treat Recipes For Dogs

Does your dog love frozen treats and do you love feeding them guilt-free whole foods? Check out these 10 easy superfood dog treat recipes that you can make at home! All you need is a blender or food processor, silicone molds and a freezer! You can use an ice cube tray if you don’t have silicone molds, but just make sure the treats are an appropriate size for your dog. Remember, you can make half the recipe or double it, depending on how many dog treats you need.

1.Refreshing Paws

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Raw Organic Kefir (Find at your local pet store, or substitute with raw goat’s milk)

  • 1 cup Cucumber, peeled

  • 1.5 cup Melon (cantaloupe or seedless watermelon)
     

     
    Blend together with a food processor or blender

Health Benefits

  • Dogs LOVE melons (and some cats do too!)

  • Hydrating and refreshing on a hot day

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated

  • ⅓ cup Organic Honey

  • 1 cup Water

  • 1 cup Organic Pumpkin

Health Benefits:

  • A fantastic digestive aid for dogs with upset tummies

  • Helps with vomiting, constipation and diarrhea symptoms

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Raw Organic Kefir (or goat's milk)

  • ½ cup Fresh Pineapple

  • 1 Organic Banana

  • Sea Kelp (Optional - Find at your local pet store)

  • ½ cup Raw Coconut Oil, melted

  • Digestive enzyme and probiotic activity

  • A great source of iodine

  • Source of medium-chain fats (anti-inflammatory and anti-yeast)

4. Allergy Soothing Paws:

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup Local Honey

  • 1 cup Organic Pumpkin Purée

  • 1 cup Goats Milk or Organic Raw Kefir

Ingredients

  • 1 - 2 Fresh Quail Eggs or 1 Raw Organic Chicken Egg

  • 1 cup Raw Goats Milk

  • ½ cup Organic Broccoli

  • Bacon-flavoured Glucosamine (find at your local pet store)

  • Great for gearing up for day hikes with joint support from glucosamine

  • Packs a huge antioxidant boost from phytonutrients found in broccoli

6. Anti Inflammatory Paws!

Ingredients

  • Turmeric paste:
     
    1/2 cup Turmeric Powder
     
    1 cup Filtered Water
     
    1 teaspoon Black Pepper
     
    1/4 cup MCT Oil, cook down into a paste stirring constantly
     

  • 2 Cups of raw goats milk
     

     
    *When cooled add two cups of raw goats milk, mixed well together and placed into the molds to freeze.

  • 2 tablespoons of Chia Seeds

  • 1 cup of Raw Goats Milk

9. Calming Paws

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Camomile Tea, mixed with water (chill a cup of tea in the fridge)

  • ¼ cup Organic Blueberries

  • 2 tablespoons Passion Flower (herb form) or Fresh Basil

  • 1 cup of Raw Goats Milk
